Fast Girls Finish First
"Baby, you gotta help us. I don't know where else to turn. I got nobody—"
Lisa pushed him away. "I don't care, John! You can't stay here. I don't even know you—"
"I'm your husband."
"Not anymore, John," Lisa spat. "You left me a long time ago. You left me flat broke with nothing, John! I don't know you anymore. And now you bring this girl here?" Sarah looked away and played nervously with the collar of her blouse.
John backed Lisa against the bookcase. "Lisa, baby, you know I've always loved you. I didn't leave you. I always meant to come back. But I couldn't come back all strung out like I was. I had to get my shit together. Sarah's helping me."
"Stop." Lisa refused to look at him. "I can't do this again, John. It isn't fair."
"I know, honey. I wanted to get clean and come back to you with money and—fuck—everything, but I just need a little more time. I can't do it right now."
"John you can't bring your girlfriend—"
His eyes pleaded. "We got nowhere to go, baby." Lisa said nothing. But she looked into his eyes. John pressed her back against the bookshelves and laid a soft kiss on her lips. He took her in his arms.
"This isn't right, John. You can't do this to me. You can't stay here." But it was too late. She took his kisses passively and let him hold her body against his, feel the lean muscle, the strong masculinity that had captured her years before when he stole her away from her boyfriend.
"Just a little while," he lied. And she melted into his arms and let him hold her in a lover's embrace, his hands roaming her back, pushing up her shirt and groping for the clasp of her bra.
Behind him, Sarah began timidly taking off her clothes.
